Grief and Loss Peer Support Group

Healing Together After Loss

What Is Peer Recovery Support?

APDS offers a program to help you help yourself. This program meets weekly for 2 hours. The goals of the program are:

  • Acknowledge and process grief and loss
  • Develop and practice healthy coping skills
  • Strengthening social and emotional support
  • Rebuild meaning and purpose after loss

How APDS Helps

The Grief and Loss Peer Support Group is designed to help participants:

  • Acknowledge and process grief and loss in a supportive, non-judgmental setting.

  • Develop and practice healthy coping skills to manage the emotional impact of loss.

  • Strengthen social and emotional support by connecting with others who understand.

  • Rebuild meaning and purpose after loss while moving forward at your own pace.

How You Get Better

Grief can often feel like something no one else can understand. But in a peer support group, you’ll find community, encouragement, and hope through shared experiences. By walking alongside others who have also experienced loss, you’ll gain:

  • Comfort in knowing you are not alone.

  • Insights and strategies from people who have found ways to cope.

  • A renewed sense of connection, belonging, and purpose.

  • Ongoing encouragement to navigate the ups and downs of healing

Take the Next Step Toward Healing

The journey through grief is deeply personal, but you don’t have to travel it alone. Join our Grief and Loss Peer Support Group and begin building the skills, support, and resilience needed to move forward with hope.
