Family Awareness and Support Resource Center for SUD

A little EXTRA could be JUST ENOUGH!

Sometimes “a little extra” can actually be just right, at least when it comes to treating substance abuse disorders. Getting control of substance abuse is difficult, but not impossible. In some cases, regaining control requires an extra boost. That is why APDS offers medication- assisted treatment (MAT).

Who We Are

Substance abuse treatment is one part of our behavioral health work, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) can be an added option. Treatment with medicine may be the extra boost you need to finally get in control. APDS and its certified counselors will guide you through.

How APDS Helps

Our center offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults aged 18 and older. Our approach to MAT is:

  • Understanding everything about a person, not just their substance abuse.
  • Teaching people about substance abuse and its negative impacts.
  • Addressing important issues that people with substance abuse problems face.
  • Using medicine, the right way to get people better.
  • Providing tools to keep people from misusing drugs again.

How You Get Better:

APDS gives you all the tools you need to succeed. Our center helps people to:

  • Know how substance abuse hurts your health.
  • Know how substance abuse can hurt other parts of life.
  • Refocus on areas of your life you stopped taking care of because of substance abuse.
  • Learn how to love yourself and be happy with who you are.
