SUD Intensive Outpatient Program

The APDS Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP) is a 12-week education, intervention and treatment program for male and female clients with substance use disorders (SUD). Clients are required to attend three 3-hour Lecture/Group sessions per week, which are designed to stimulate thought, challenge their perceptions, offer culturally relevant solutions and develop positive self-images. Clients are required to attend a minimum of five (5) individual sessions per 3 12-week episode with their primary counselor and submit to random urine screens. At the completion of their 12-week treatment episode, clients are required to complete a Relapse Prevention Plan and an Anonymous Client Satisfaction Survey Form.

  • For people early in recovery.

  • Sessions that are thoughtful, enlightening, culturally relevant, and hopeful.
  • Random breathalyzer and urine drug screens.
  • Complete a Relapse Prevention Plan at the end of the program.
  • Complete Anonymous Client Survey Form at the end of program.
  • At least 113 combined hours for the program.
  • Ongoing individual and group counseling provided 5 days per week.
  • Ongoing or intermittent therapy low-intensity sessions in a community-based treatment setting.
  • Extended services available to family based on individual’s or family’s needs.
  • Services tailored to unique gender, cultural, and age-related needs.
