APDS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit behavioral healthcare agency that provides innovative treatment, social services, education and prevention programs to treat, eliminate and prevent domestic violence, alcohol and other substance use disorders.
APDS is certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (Ohio MHAS) to operate Non-Intensive/Intensive Outpatient Treatment, Medication Assisted Treatment, Case Management, Crisis Intervention, and Prevention programs. For over 34 years, we have provided services to over 22,400 families, and serve 117 to 167 adult clients weekly in our treatment and intervention programs.
APDS provides and continuously builds outreach and engagement programs that serve diverse populations. No one is denied services due to race, age, ethnicity, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, or economic status. Our programs are offered at no charge and/or a copay only to eligible participants. A subsidy scale is applied. Costs for services are based on participant’s household income. The support of ADAMH allows APDS to provide programs, services and treatment to many residents of Franklin County that can’t afford quality counseling services. APDS accepts most major insurances including Medicaid and self-pay. Financial assistance is available to anyone who qualifies.
APDS provides counseling, treatment, educational programs and recovery services for individuals, families, and communities through the APDS Programs & Services illustrated below. For more information on a specific program or service, click on the specificed area of interest below.

APDS Testimonials: What People Are Saying?
It's definitely a good thing when you hear about other people’s situations and all the things that they teach... It calms you down if you actually use the coping skills. I haven't had any anger or outbursts. I can actually say I've changed since I've been in this class.
Shakur Edmonds – Attended both the Drug & Alcohol and Domestic Violence programs, and has achieved one year of sobriety.
Learned a lot! My counselor was great and knowledgeable with tons of information.

I am doing anger management classes here on account of an incident with my wife. The classes are going well as the staff is highly professional and knows the subjects well.

Felton Davis – Enrolled in the domestic violence program at APDS.
